Lens Bridge Prototyping Research
The Lens Bridge prototype explores the dynamic relationship between infrastructural design and urban systems, focusing on how structural elements can influence both spatial experience and environmental conditions. This research investigates the interaction between built form and atmospheric phenomena through the application of Fresnel lens principles on the bridge’s cladding. Physical modeling demonstrates the optical effects created by the lens system, revealing how light manipulation transforms both the perceptual and material qualities of the structure. The study further emphasizes the bridge's potential to engage with its surrounding context, blending technical innovation with experiential design.
